Eye Symptoms that you should never avoid

Tiny Black dots:

Seeing tiny black dots in your vision, this may be alarming but isn't to serious at first. It occurs when the vitreous (the gel-like substance in the eye) suddenly pulls away from the retina. Although this condition isn't that serious, it can lead to major problems such as permanent loss of vision. So it is always wise to get a check up if black dots appear in your eyesight.

Loss of side vision (peripheral vision):

This defection of the vision usually develops over time, even over years usually from an eye disease. It may indicate that there is damage to your optic nerve. If this problem occurs visit the Doctor and they will examine you and observe and assess the danger of the situation.

Abrupt onset of vision defects:

If vision defects occur suddenly, it may be a signal for a highly problematic situation. These symptoms include blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light, an unexplained loss of visual clarity, suddenly being unable to distinguish the difference of colours and contrasts.

Seeing a black curtain or wall:

This is usually the result of what is known as Retinal detachment. It occurs when the retina becomes separated from the inner wall of the eye. This symptom is usually quite rare and doesn't occur too often.

Loss of central vision (straight-ahead vision):

This symptom usually also develops over time, and is most often the cause of some eye disease. It is quite common in older individuals because of macular degeneration. It happens because of an abnormal growth of blood vessels on the retina, which is where the macula is located, and it is results in scarring and permanent vision loss.

Eye Irritation and persistent redness:

This symptom can occur from many things such as allergies to serious infections. People who wear contact lenses are especially vulnerable to these symptoms. If not treated these symptoms could result in the permanent loss of eye-sight.
